Aftermarket Sales Engineer

Based in Johor, Malaysia, the successful incumbent is accountable for generating profitable sales revenue and increasing operating income by broadening sales coverage, establishing new accounts, and providing total solutions to customers.  He/She will also maintain close relationships with the customers in assigned industries.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve sales targets set for the area of responsibility.


• Negotiate on tenders, contract terms and conditions, and preparation of sales contracts.


• Visit and meet prospective customers in assigned industries to provide required services and solicit for orders.


• Prepare sales reports, analyze costs and sales, quotations, and maintain and create new client accounts.


• Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product training, and after-sales support.


• Prepare demonstrations and technical presentations for customers.


• Attend trade shows, conferences, marketing, and other events.


• Work closely with supply chain management, sales support and project engineer and order fulfillment team.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.


• At least 3 years of sales experience selling industrial products.


• Product knowledge of air compressor & control system will be advantageous.


• Strong team player who is self-motivated and customer oriented.


• Work independently, with good communication and strong presentation skills.


• Understanding of financial metrics including margin, revenue, overhead costs, Profit and Loss, and Project Financials.


• Excellent communications/human relations skills (written, verbal, client service).


• Possess own vehicle.
