Agronomist (Assistant Manager) - Fast Hire

• Carry out trial works such as setting trials, tree growth measurements and implementing treatment. 
• Present information on research progress and outcomes to, for example, project lead, research team, etc. 
• Monitor trees and crops for insects and diseases. Assign tree inspectors for targeted pest and disease treatment. 
• Responsible for record-keeping such as trial reports, lab inventories and monthly rainfall. 
• Ensure adequate supplies are available for trial plots and laboratory needs. Perform general agronomic tasks and responsibilities as needed. 
• To involve in research & development of fertilizers and irrigation techniques for plant / crop health. 
• Carry out related agronomic research and monitor trials to improve agronomic and agricultural practices in estate. 
• Keeping detailed records of fertilizers, seeds, crop, and samples. To assist in managing staff within the team, setting, and monitoring team objectives including identifying training requirements and performance management.
• Coordinate, monitor and plan fertilizer recommendation programmed for durian crop. 
• To provide training on various agronomic aspects for executive and non-executive staff of estates. 
• Provide technical advice to estate’s management and HQ. 
• Any other ad-hoc duties which may be assigned by the Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, in Life Sciences, Agriculture,  or equivalent.
• Possess with at least 5 years agronomy experience in Durian Plantation will be advantage.
• Knowledgeable with durian cultivation practices which include the agriculture equipment, method, fertilizer and etc.
• Willing to work at Plantation site environment that located at Chemomoi, Karak, Pahang.
