Trade Compliance Analyst, Import/ Export 

The Trade Compliance Screening Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company's global trade activities strictly comply with United States and regional export regulations. This position involves executing daily compliance screening operations, cooperating extensively with other functions within the Global Trade team, and maintaining robust process controls to ensure all decisions are fully compliant

Global Trade Compliance in the world of ground-breaking technology is a complicated business. It takes real attention to detail to comply with the U.S. and regional export regulations. Our Global Trade team provides specialized trade compliance support focused on end-to-end compliance management. We're experts in what we do, from evaluating global operation activities against restricted and denied party lists, to providing strategic and tactical support to enable secure international supply chains, to developing and implementing robust risk mitigation strategies.



Responsibilities

You will: 

  • Compliance Screening and Operations: Execute daily compliance screening operations and controls, evaluating global transactions and activities against applicable restricted and denied party lists.
  • Process Controls and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cooperate and partner with other functions of the Global Trade team to establish robust processes and control measures, ensuring all final transaction decisions strictly comply with US and regional import/export regulations.
  • Transaction Review and Red Flag Management: Review and approve international transactions (evaluating end-user, end-use, and country of destination) and manage "Red Flag" issues, including sanctioned entities, embargoed countries, and boycotts.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain, organize, and audit all screening and compliance records in strict accordance with established regulatory recordkeeping requirements.
  • Training and Compliance Education: Provide Trade Compliance screening training materials and support the company's annual and ongoing compliance education requirements.
  • Reporting, Metrics, and Continuous Improvement: Develop daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics indicating screening volumes, compliance performance measures, hold/release cycle times, and project updates. Implement continuous improvement strategies for compliance control processes to enhance global supply chain security and minimize cross-border cycle times without compromising regulatory integrity.

Essential Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Language: Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication.
  • Software: Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced Excel skills, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint. Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and present compliance and screening data to support decision-making and reporting.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in trade compliance or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Foundational understanding of international trade compliance controls, including restricted/denied party screening, sanctioned entity and embargo regulations, and US import/export compliance frameworks (e.g., EAR, OFAC).
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, time zones, and cultures.


Desirable Requirements

  • Proficiency in Chinese is a plus for effectively engaging with Chinese stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data visualization skills, combined with a background in both business and statistics/data analytics, including experience working with large datasets or reporting systems. 
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining business performance metrics.
  • Prior hands-on experience in supply chain operations and understanding of end-to-end transaction order flow processes.
  • Prior experience in a compliance-related role, including trade compliance, regulatory compliance, or audit functions.
  • Familiarity with trade compliance screening tools and automated platforms.
