Application Specialist - Plastics

• Provide technical support and consulting to customers and local sales teams on the plastics applications (injection molding).
  
• Conduct on -site analyses, feasibility checks, and technical clarifications for new or existing projects.
  
• Recommend the right combination of sensors, monitoring systems, and software based on customer needs.
  
• Support opportunity qualification, solution design, and value -based proposals jointly with OSRs.
  
• Lead technical presentations, workshops, and proof -of -concept demonstrations at customer sites.
  
• Participate in trade shows, technical seminars, and industry events as the regional plastics expert.
  
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of solutions at customer facilities.
  
• Develop customer training programs and documentation (user training, best practices, troubleshooting).
  
• Ensure smooth handover from project phase to after -sales/service.
  
• Act as the voice of the customer to the Business Unit Plastics in the HQ (market needs, feedback, competitive moves).
  
• Promote cross -country collaboration and sharing of technical best practices within the region.
  
• Maintain high -quality documentation of customer learnings, application cases, and project outcomes.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Plastics Technology, or related field.
  
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands -on experience in injection molding, process optimization, or application engineering.
  
• Strong understanding of injection molding equipment, tooling, and process variables.
  
• Experience with instrumentation, sensors, or process monitoring systems is an advantage.
  
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and non -technical stakeholders. Cross -cultural collaboration is a must.
  
• Fluent in English; additional regional language(s) are an added advantage.
  
• Willingness to travel across the region (40–50%).
