🚀 About the Role:

New Era Technology is looking for experienced AS400 Cobol Developer to be deployed at our prestigious client in Malaysia at their KL office.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. Expected to perform independently and become an SME.


• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.


• Intermediate proficiency in AS/400 COBOL 400 (Programming Language) is required.


• Intermediate level of proficiency in Design & Build Enablement is recommended.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative application solutions.


• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance application performance.


• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to suggest improvements in application development processes.


• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team skills and capabilities.


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of application development methodologies and best practices.

Must have: AS400 Cobol (Not AS400 Mainframe)

🎓 Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer/ Telecommunication), Computer Science/ Information Technology, or equivalent.

👤 Preferred Candidate:

• Nationality: Malaysians preferred. Open for all nationalities who are willing to work onsite in Malaysia


• Availability: Candidates who can join max in 30days.
