ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT

• Handling inpatient/outpatient/daycare billing discharges.
• Ensure inpatient/outpatient/daycare billing collection is done correctly.
• To relief all sub cashiers and clinic receptionist if needed.
• Ensure collection done tally with receipt listing.
• Ensure all cashier cash clearance tally with cash register.
• Update all collection in summary cash flow.
• Ensure all collection is tally with summary cash flow.
• Prepare bank in slip, cash and cheque to be bank-in in the following day.
• Ensure safe keeping of all cash collection in office safe at all the time.
• Reconcile credit card sales against credit card advice listing.
• To promote, support and ensure patient understanding of Patient and Family Rights

HUMAN RESOURCE AND DEVELOPMENT

• Takes personal responsibility for own professional development and keeps up to date with professional change and growth.
• Involves in the supervision of the lower categories of staff, including the students who are posted to the departments for their working experience and assist them to achieve their objectives of attachments.
• Participates in the development and maintenance of the accounting process as well as accounting documentation.
• Supports and assists the Accountant in making the most effective and efficient use of staff, supplies and services.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

• Understand policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current standards of operation services and practice, relevant regulations, requirements of statutory authorities, and the purposes of the services.
• Comply to all policies and procedures of the quality and safety systems, e.g. MS ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Patient Safety Goals, and any other quality system that the hospital subscribes to e.g. Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards, Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards HACCP Netherlands, etc.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT

• Participates in the care, custody and administration of equipment in accordance with Hospital Policies and Procedures.
• Checks regular all equipment’s in the services/unit are in good condition and takes necessary action accordingly when faulty.
• Assists maintenance of equipment by proper cleaning, handling and utilizing as directed.
