JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role of this position involves maintaining and developing new and profitable business and ensure high renewal retention with CIMB and its strategic partners and customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Provide agreed standard of service to CIMB & its customers


2. Build close working relationship with Relationship Managers, Branch Managers and Sales Managers of CIMB


3. Underwrite all classes of insurance within the given authority limit and liaise with Underwriters on risk retention where appropriate.


4. Ensure profitability of the department by exercising prudent underwriting


5. Monitor and follow-up outstanding issues for policy issuance and notify CIMB of discrepancies and follow-up on the amendments if any


6. Follow-up closely between CIMB, their corporate customers and our surveyor on risk survey  


7. Provide high quality claims service to CIMB and their corporate customers, in liaison with Claim Department


8. Responsible for achieving assigned Commercial Banking Fire and Non-Fire new business target


9. Support CB business of assigned regions to achieve target


10. Assist Renewal team to secure renewal business (when required)


11. Maximise cross selling opportunity and achieve assigned cross selling targets


12. Responsible for collection of outstanding premium of accounts assigned


13. Handle ad hoc projects assigned from time to time 

JOB SPECIFICATION:

1. Education

• Diploma / Degree in any and / or related


• AMII / ACII / DMII or equivalent insurance qualifications

2. Experience

• 3 years in Insurance

3. Skills

• Knowledge of insurance products especially commercial class of insurance


• Possess good presentation skills


• Possess good negotiation skills


• IT literate

4. Personal Qualities

• Mature personality and able to work independently


• Self motivated


• Team player and able to motivate fellow team members


• Communication:  Oral & written communication skill

5. Other requirements

• Achieving result, initiative & concern for quality


• Mobility :  Willing to travel (within Klang Valley)
