Job Description:

Events & Exhibitions Management

  • Assist HOU to support and provide advisory services to all internal stakeholders in the areas of event & exhibition management and protocol
  • Assist HOU to facilitate and/or lead multi-department coordination for the success of events & exhibitions involving both internal & external stakeholders
  • Assist HOU to manage all vendors, agencies & suppliers providing goods and services for the event & exhibitions, as well as all procurement related activities
  • Assist HOU to manage the overall activities of production, design and layout of event & exhibition materials ie. invitation cards, programme cards, menus, opening montage, video, presentations etc. relevant to events or projects
  • undertaken/assigned, including information gathering for the same
  • Assist HOU to ensure that the image and brand of Sime Darby Plantation and all its principal and subsidiary brands under the Group are properly managed, applied and protected

Corporate Visits

  • Assist HOU to coordinate visit requests from external parties from proposal phase to actual visit, including budget, programme and approval matters
  • Assist HOU and to get Involved in multi-department coordination various business units on the management of visits and related activities
  • Assist HOU to manage communications activities related to handling of request visits with external and internal stakeholders
  • Assist HOU to ensure that the image and brand of SD Guthrie and all its principal and subsidiary brands under the Group are properly managed, applied and protected

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Preference for graduates in Event Management, Mass Communications, Branding, Corporate Communications, Public Relations)

  •  Minimum of 6 years’ experience (preferably events management) in a large corporation (>1,000 employees)

  • Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills; able to work effectively with different stakeholder groups
