Responsibilities
- Underwrite, manage and monitor all technical underwriting processes and acceptance of LSR and Non-LSR for Fire Commercial, Package incl. SME, Condo Pack, SecureHome and other SME related packages and products.
- Overall accountable for underwriting, renewal review and reporting activities that ensure full compliance to the company’s Guidelines, corporate governance and other related legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze new risks/or renewal of LSR and Non-LSR incl. Package and related classes, in particular ie. Referral cases and exceeding business unit acceptance limits including conducting renewal reviews.
- Provide professional and technical advice, guidance and support for Business Units and Head Office personnel in all aspects of underwriting.
- To handle Treaty Special Acceptance referrals including follow-ups and monitoring.
- Support Senior Manager, Manager and HoD in department related matters including planning and compliance adherence.
- Analyze, control and manage retention including accumulation control based on underlying guidelines.
- Lead and/or contribute to product and system enhancement projects to support business growth.
- Performs special/ad-hoc projects and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in in Science, Business Administration, Economics or Insurance related such as AMII, ACII, AII and DMII.
- Min 5 years of experience in property underwriting.
- Strong expertise and knowledge in General Insurance industry.
- Solid knowledge in underwriting Fire and Miscellaneous risk assessment.
- Good market knowledge In Fire and Miscellaneous products.
- Strong verbal and written communications.
- Good project management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
