Job Description:

We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager who will play a crucial role in managing the production team and ensuring operational efficiency. This position is responsible for overseeing production planning, ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, Halal, and ISO standards, and driving continuous improvement in our processes. The ideal candidate should be a strong leader with excellent problem-solving and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Management and Coordination Duties:

- Provide directions and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
- Responsible for production planning and scheduling.
- Review and improve production operations, efficiency, and productivity.
- Plan, organize, direct, and control production operations while ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, Halal, and ISO requirements.
- Ensure operational staff are adequately trained and possess necessary job competencies.
- Lead and motivate subordinates to work effectively and productively.
- Ensure the effectiveness of machine maintenance programs to minimize production downtime.
- Troubleshoot production issues and analyze root causes.
- Ensure safe work conditions, food hygiene, and health compliance in production.
- Implement the Company Quality Management System and Safety policy, and respond to customer complaints.
- Initiate re-engineering, problem-solving, and process improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Manage staff discipline, performance, and skill development.
- Perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biomedicine or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in Pharmaceutical and Food Processing/Manufacturing or related industries.
- Positive-minded, inspirational, proactive, and involved in the Company's affairs.
- Hands-on experience in implementing best practices in Pharmaceutical and Food Processing/Manufacturing processes and technology.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in GMP, HACCP, Halal, and ISO requirements.
- Excellent team player with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ethics and ability to build effective relationships working closely with employees at all levels of the company.
- Strong teamwork and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
