Assistant Teacher (R.E.A.L Kids) - Career Growth Potential

Responsible for the early education of preschool children. The position includes delivering interactive curriculum to engage and educate young children.

Roles and responsibilities

• To assist the class teacher in monitoring the children’s work during class lessons.
• To help in the preparation of teaching materials for the lessons.
• To help in the toileting of the children and looking after the children safety in the outdoor and indoor play areas. 
• To help teacher in carrying out their roster duties when required, especially at arrival and dismissal time when the children come to school/ go home by bus or other vehicles. 
• To assist the teachers during meal-times and to ensure the cleanliness of the classroom. 
• To be able to take over the class teacher duty in the absence of class teacher. 
• To be present during in-house training and staff meetings. 
• Assist in cooking and food preparation for the children. 9. To ensure the children’s are supervised at all times. 
• To provide adequate equipment and activities 
• To ensure the equipment and facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times. 
• To ensure the environment is safe and secure at all time.

Job Requirements

• Minimum requirement of Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• At least 3 years experience in Early Childhood Education.
• Able to effectively communicate with young children in rules of conduct and learning new tasks.
• Able to assess the appropriate teaching method and adapt to children’s learning styles.
• Essential communication skills in both oral and written in English and *Mandarin. (*is only applicable for Mandarin Teacher)
