Penerangan Pekerjaan - Associate Director, Strategic Delivery - Exciting Challenge

RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY)

Responsible for driving departmental success through meticulous KPI tracking and attainment. Identifies and evaluates potential Bumiputera companies for TERAJU support. Cultivates strong customer relationships while managing, monitoring, and motivating staff. Leads proposal development for approval committees. Ensures seamless cross-departmental duty fulfilment. Provides comprehensive management reports on operational activities, costs, marketing, and KPIs periodically (fortnightly, monthly, quarterly). Embodies strategic leadership and operational excellence for organizational success.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION


Administration
1. Prepare and compile monthly management reports for review by the Senior Director and Director before presentation to the management committee.
2. Monitor and report the department's KPI performance to the Senior Director and Director.
3. Offer suggestions for enhancing KPI performance during reviews with the management committee.
4. Supervise staff in maintaining proper filing and safekeeping of all relevant correspondences and documents under their responsibility.
5. Ensure all department staff adhere to company-prescribed office regulations.


Marketing & Advisory
1. To approach and maintain rapport with project sources/originators such as merchant banks and consultants as well as various SMEs.
2. To attend to companies over the telephone, on a walk-in basis as well as in exhibitions participated by TERAJU.
3. To provide companies with information on TERAJU programmes Policies and Guidelines and to advise them on how to tailor and structure their respective proposals to meet the requirements set out in TERAJU programmes Policies and Guidelines.
4. Develop, produce, implement and improve the policy and framework.


Project Evaluation.
1. To perform a thorough and timely evaluation of all project proposals received. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
a. Engaging in meetings, interviews, and discussions with entrepreneurs, key personnel, and relevant companies regarding project proposals. Additionally, conducting site visits to the companies' factories and project sites.
b. Providing entrepreneurs with information on TERAJU programmes Policies and Guidelines and advising them of any changes therein that may affect their project proposals.
c. Providing advice and assistance to entrepreneurs in structuring investment proposals/schemes that meet the needs and requirements of both the entrepreneurs and TERAJU.
d. Performing preliminary reviews on companies seeking financial assistance by evaluating the viability of the business and its financial performance. Emphasis will be placed on the company's marketability, competitiveness, nature and quality of product/services. Ensuring that business plans submitted are logical, workable and in line with the financial projections. Highlighting issues that may be of concern and detrimental to TERAJU.
e. Completing all necessary forms and formats and ensuring that all necessary information (as required in the project proposal format and subsequent correspondence with the said companies) has been submitted.
2. To prepare Management/ Investment Panel/ BOD papers upon completion of the above-mentioned evaluation and to present them to the Management/ Investment Panel/ BOD.
3. To prepare Justifications for Rejection for proposals which do not comply with TERAJU programmes/investment guidelines and present them to the Management/ Investment Panel/ BOD.
 

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or professional qualifications from a recognised university/institution. MBA will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in strategic and business development with at least 3 years at senior managerial capacity.
• Have experience in related industries/economic sectors or Consultancy work e.g., project management, advisory, corporate planning and strategy.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of key industries/economic sectors and has good appreciation of Economics.
• Proven leadership skills – experienced in leading teams on projects.
• Proven track record on delivering big projects and results.
• Experienced in managing stakeholders and senior civil service officers.
• Able to influence, engage and articulate views and ideas clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactively employs strategic and critical thinking in solving issues and challenges – exhibit sound practical judgment.
• Action-oriented, independent, self-motivated and highly driven.
• Prepared to work long hours, under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Good-interpersonal skills and strong presentations abilities.
• Creative thinker and able to work as a member of multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently to meet deadlines.
