About the Role
We’re looking for a highly driven Growth Product Manager (Malaysia) to own localization and merchant acquisition for our AI agents serving small businesses on WhatsApp.
You will be reviewing real customer conversations, uncovering growth opportunities, and translating insights into clear product and go-to-market priorities.
What You’ll Do
1. Drive Merchant Growth
Identify and run growth experiments to increase new merchant acquisition (e.g., lead magnets, outbound campaigns, funnel optimizations).
Form hypotheses, execute quickly, and iterate based on results.
Track key metrics and conversion drop-offs.
2. Improve AI Conversion Through Insights
Review daily WhatsApp transcripts between SMEs and our AI agents.
Spot objections, friction points, drop-offs, and missed conversion opportunities.
Translate findings into clear product improvement recommendations (with examples of “expected vs. actual” behaviour).
3. Own Malaysia Localization
Define language, tone, and cultural nuances appropriate for Malaysian SMEs.
Ensure localization aligns with market norms, compliance considerations, and seasonal cycles (e.g., Hari Raya, CNY, Deepavali, pay cycles).
Work closely with product and tech teams to implement improvements.
4. Be Close to the Customer
Shadow and interview Malaysian SME owners to understand real workflows, pain points, and buying triggers.
Synthesize qualitative insights into actionable growth and product priorities.
1–4 years of experience in product, growth, GTM, customer success, sales ops, or a similar SME-facing role.
Strong customer and sales instincts — comfortable speaking directly with SME owners.
Analytical and experiment-driven mindset.
Builder mentality: proactive, ownership-driven, and comfortable with fast iteration.
Strong understanding of the Malaysian market, business culture, and seasonal dynamics.
Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is a plus.
