Attendant, Outsource Services

Job Description:

• To ensure the smooth running of Linen Services:
• Understand the philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards of the hospital and nursing services.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures relevant to the department.
• Maintain cleanliness of the linen store.
• Ensure linen stock is kept clean and neatly arranged in all linen cupboards.
• Collect dirty linen from wards and various services and deliver it to the designated dirty utility area.
• Check, count, and record the number of linens sent for washing.
• Check and record the number of clean linens received from the laundry vendor.
• Distribute clean linen to the relevant areas twice daily according to departmental par levels.
• Assist in monthly linen inventory and stock count.
• Maintain records of non-conforming linen.
• Wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) or clothing provided by management to ensure safety and health.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

Education:

• Minimum SPM qualification

Knowledge and Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in handling linen
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in the healthcare industry is an added advantage
• Knowledge of inventory management and stock counting
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact with various levels of the organization

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in spoken English and Bahasa Melayu
