Job description

• Overall responsibilities is to plan and manage the day to day marketing & leasing activities of a shopping mall


• Negotiate deal structure and retail leases and prepare proposals for new and renewing tenants.


• Identify and close new retail lease transactions.


• Oversee and coordinate responses to Request for Proposals including writing Letters of Intent.


• Maintain an accurate, in-depth knowledge of all aspects of assigned properties including all vacancies, major tenants and major lease expirations.


• Pre-plan the marketing & leasing strategies for expected retail space to be vacated and to ensure the spaces are occupied at the earliest opportunity


• Effectively articulate the features and benefits of the properties to potential merchants, through presentations, meetings and tours of the property.


• Work with architects on design and construction of tenant spaces.


• Develop and prepare weekly marketing status reports and survey reports.


• Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan


• Analyze and prepare Net Effective Rent spreadsheets.


• Develop networks and maintain strong, active relationships with the shopping center and retailers.


• Actively participate in asset team meetings with Construction, Development, and Engineering, Accounting and Finance.


• Actively bring the marketing and leasing perspective to the ongoing management of the asset.


• Perform and ascertain market intelligence in order to gain information that would lead to maximizing the mix and quality of the tenant profile of each property.


• Gathering and updating of information from tenants for internal use.


• Attend industry conferences and conventions.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job requirement

• Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Real Estate Management or related discipline


• Minimum 10 years experience in a highly competitive marketing and leasing environment with at least 3 years in a senior or specialist position.


• Has been involved in successful major shopping mall launches or shopping mall rejuvenation efforts or simply a highly successful shopping mall business.


• Possess personal hands-on experience in planning and coordinating retail leasing within a shopping complex


• Excellent negotiation skills and sound knowledge of the retail market


• Meticulous with strong analytical skills and ability to meet tight deadlines


• A team player with good management and interpersonal skills


• Able to drive marketing strategies, formulate and implement overall marketing and leasing plans


• Able to build, retain and motivate a team of professionals in the Marketing & Leasing Department to accomplish the Company's desired goals
