BA - Regulatory Reporting - MAS610 reporting & HKMA Reporting

Seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support its Regulatory Reporting initiatives, with a specific focus on MAS610/1003 and HKMA reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge in regulatory frameworks, data analysis, and experience driving regulatory compliance projects within the banking sector.

Regulatory Reporting Analysis

• Analyze and interpret reporting requirements for MAS610, MAS1003, and HKMA Banking Returns.
• Map regulatory requirements to source systems and data elements.
• Liaise with Group Finance, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure data quality and compliance.

Business Requirement Gathering

• Elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across UOB's regulatory, finance, and IT functions.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.

Project Delivery & Support

• Work closely with project managers and developers to ensure successful delivery of regulatory reporting solutions.
• Conduct UAT testing, develop test cases/scripts, and ensure data accuracy for compliance reports.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews and support change requests and enhancements.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Compliance, IT) and external parties (regulators, auditors) to address reporting requirements and queries.
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on MAS and HKMA reporting frameworks.

Documentation & Governance

• Prepare functional specifications, data mapping documents, BRDs, and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit and governance standards in documentation and delivery.

  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline.

  Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven experience with MAS610 / MAS1003 and HKMA regulatory reporting is mandatory.
• Experience in regulatory reporting transformation or system implementation projects is a plus.

  Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of data lineage, ETL processes, and reporting systems.
• Proficient in Excel, and familiar with SQL, Power BI, or other data analytics tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of regulatory platforms such as AxiomSL, WDX, or Moody’s is a bonus.

  Methodologies: Familiar with Agile / Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies.

  Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
