Bioprocess Scientist - Dynamic Team

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Familiarity with the E.coli-based fermentation bioprocess involving a bioreactor, preferably a medium to large-scale bioreactor for upscaling process.
2. Familiarity and understanding of aseptic techniques when handling microbial systems.
3. Capable of conducting independent studies to determine and develop the most efficient methods of operations and workflow and to recommend troubleshooting problems arising from operations.
4. Continuous improvement of production efficiency by reviewing, analyzing and planning workflow.
5. Manpower planning, job scheduling, product quality, yield productivity, cost management, cleaning & sanitation, process control & improvement, follow up and monitoring job progress.
6. Work closely with operation team to establish, develop & review the standard operating procedure (SOP) in production floor.
7. Guaranteeing the uniformity of production outcomes by undergoing quality control, cost effectiveness, environmental & safety control into a process.
8. Monitor and continuously improve daily quality efficiency performance at specific area in production and provide reporting.
9. To perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess at least a BSc/ M.Sc./ Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Bioprocess or related fields.
• Any working experience in related field will be an added advantage
• Experience in handling bioreactor and bioprocessing work.
• Candidates must be result oriented and self-driven. Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paces environment with good communication and leadership skills.
• Possesses own transport and is willing to travel to collaborator's site.
• Candidate should be a Malaysian national citizen with a valid driver's license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word/ Excel/ Power Point.
