About the role

The Boilerman will support the goals and programs established by the management team to continually improve the plant maintenance as well as plant improvement.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee the safe operation and performance of boiler systems.


2. Conduct periodic checks on process water levels, ensuring storage tanks, pumps, and related equipment function properly.


3. Ensure the D.I. plant operates efficiently and meets required water specifications.


4. Monitor and maintain proper functioning of the deaerator system.


5. Perform routine inspections on the air compressor system to ensure optimal performance.


6. Restart the air compressor system immediately following any power failure.


7. Restart the boiler and D.I. systems promptly after power restoration.


8. Report any equipment failures or malfunctions to Management without delay.


9. Follow Chemist instructions on boiler water treatment dosing and prepare required solutions.


10. Perform boiler cleaning and repair work (internal and external) as required.


11. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in boiler and compressor areas.


12. Ensure the cooling tower system operates efficiently.


13. Monitor fuel oil tank levels and ensure pumps are functioning properly.


14. Act as a Safety Coordinator, supporting safety and GMP compliance.


15. Promote and practice 5S workplace culture.


16. Participate actively in plant safety and food safety initiatives.


17. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, and GMP systems.

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum Grade One Steam Certificate of Competency


• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications


• Proven experience in boiler maintenance and operations


• Prior exposure to the process industry, with willingness to work on shift schedules


• Strong technical, troubleshooting, and analytical capabilities


• Ability to work independently, remain resourceful, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
