Penerangan Pekerjaan - Brand Manager

You are knowledgeable in all aspects of coffee (from roasting, brewing, to drinking it!). You are a high-performing generalist, leading and supporting initiatives in, but not limited to, branding, marketing and operational efficiency, to deliver revenue and profits for the business. You have to be versatile and tenacious with a passion for delivering results while managing the bottom line. You will understand what makes our customers tick and at the same time, anticipate consumer trends to keep the brand up-to-date. 

You will not only have ideas, you will know how to execute them. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves and get things done. You will also be responsible to ensure that the team is trained and aligned with our brand’s version of customer experience. You are our brand champion and a force multiplier for the business. 

Core responsibilities

  • Conduct consumer and market research to identify how our brand is positioned, and provide insights to establish, sustain and grow brand awareness and market share
  • Take the lead to develop the brand strategy and growth plans, while working closely with Marketing & Operations
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that our products and services are aligned with the brand direction. This shall encompass store operations and growth, business analysis, new product development and customer experience.
  • Take the lead in new markets opening and existing markets development, as well as liaise with stakeholders for new outlets validation and designs.
  • Work with the Marketing & Operations to conduct brand training to ensure everyone is aligned with the brand direction
  • Analyze daily business data, and suggest improvement strategies
  • Assist in recruiting, training, motivating and evaluating the team to ensure that staff have the necessary skill base and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience as a barista, coffee trainer and/or coffee roaster.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking and organisational skills.
  • A highly motivated person that is passionate about collaborating with others to drive results and can motivate others to do the same to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Expertise in people management and leadership.
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Comfortable with data and numbers

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Due to work permit restrictions, only applicants with the right to work in Malaysia shall be considered.
  • F&B operations and management experience; ideally within a fast paced, growing environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and growth of a brand/business and its team
  • Have a working knowledge in store operations (such as hiring, training, developing and setting SOPs, budgeting, and inventory management)
  • Experience with retail leasing, strategic expansion and store development experience, preferably within the coffee/cafe industry.
