Business Analyst (Laboratory Information System)

Key Responsibilities:

• Interface with IT and other key stakeholders to identify gaps between the business needs, LIS and current lab operation SOPs.
• Works as a business liaison for IT/LIS enhancements, defect analysis, projects and product releases.
• Assist in the design, set up and maintenance of the Departments’ panels, related items, worklists, library codes and instrument interfaces. Importantly, provide clinical coding for LIS such as SNOMED-CT-AU, LOINC and ICD-10.
• Document LIS Tests, new features, enhancements, and notification of changes and processes.
• Coordinate necessary corrective action resulting from LIS-related issues
• Works as part of broader implementations including data and system migration planning

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Medical Lab Technology, Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in Lab/Hospital Information System digitalization / migration is a must
• Supervisory experience in a medical diagnostics lab with knowledge of laboratory workflow including scientific software, QC, WHS and instrumentation
• Formidable communication skills as this role requires a lot of internal stakeholder management & day to day interactions
• Ability to project manage within stipulated time, budget and quality
