Business Development Manager (Based in KL) - Innovative Company

Job Requirements:

The main duties will be mainly responsible to meet and achieve growth and profitability targets of branch. The successful candidate will also be contributing to generate new business and meeting production targets align with vision and strategy of company.

1. Account Management
   • Training bank intermediary on product range and an integral part of the role will be driving on going sales and identifying new opportunities for growth.
   • Maintain fruitful relationships with intermediary/clients and address their needs effectively.
   • Regularly maintain bank branch’s visitation with business talk, markets matters, claim matters, problem solving and update current GWP, agency benefits & etc.
   • Joint field on risk survey and presentation of risk coverage to client.
   • Conduct training and presentations.
2. Direct Sales Engagement
   • Demonstrate business planning skills to achieve visitation and sales targets.
   • Creation of sales planning & activities.
   • Assist in Business development & growth.
   • Prepare/Compile various sales reports for business partners and team leaders.
   • Identify new sales strategies and approaches to achieve monthly sales target.
3. Credit Control & Compliance
   • Familiarize with Statement of Account (SOA).
   • Follow up on collection of outstanding premiums.
   • Ensure sales and services rendered to customers are in compliance with internal and external polices, guideline as well as regulations.
4. Business Sales Support
   • Prepare the quotations, review customers’ renewal policies, and provide necessary advice on insurance matters to the business partners or clients.
   • Provide first line underwriting/quotation/indicative rate for simple case.
   • To underwrite and batch in all secured renewals and new business effectively and accurately.
   • Review monthly renewal listings and send a reminder to business partners to follow up on renewals and improve the renewal ratio.
   • Identify and provide on-the-field training to business partners that newly joined or required upskill training.
   • Participate in the bank intermediary’s on-ground event to promote brand awareness and product sales closure.

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor in Degree or Diploma Holder. Preferably in Banking/Economics/Finance/Insurance.
2. Or SMP holder with more than 5 years relevant working experiences.
3. Knowledge in insurance (Life & General) & Banking Products.
4. Fluent speaking of English & Bahasa Malaysia.
5. Cantonese & Mandarin speaking is an added advantage.
6. Able to meet timeline & cope under work pressure.
