Duties and Responsibilities
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and engage with potential clients through presentations and proposals, perform commercial calculations, negotiating and closing deals to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct training sessions or ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions on product usage
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to foster repeat business.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential business opportunities and trends.
- Analyze competitor activities and industry developments to stay ahead in the market.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for management review to provide insights into sales performance and future opportunities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing efforts and sales campaigns through metrics such as lead conversion ratio, customer acquisition costs, etc and use this data to optimise strategies and allocate resources effectively
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement effective business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on their potential impact on the business.
- Provide leadership, guidance and motivation to the sales team to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets
Product and Service Promotion:
- Work closely with the marketing team and CEO to develop and execute promotional strategies for products and services.
- Support the sales team with tools, resources, and collateral needed to effectively communicate value propositions and close deals. This may include sales presentations, product demonstrations, case studies and sales scripts
Contract Negotiation:
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and other partners to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contractual agreements.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of import and export operations.
- Provide insights and feedback to improve overall company processes.
Skill and Experience
- At least a degree in business, sales, marketing or engineering
- Minimum of five years' sales and business development experience with at least three years in sales management
- Demonstrated expertise in consultative selling techniques, including needs assessment, solution development and client relationship building
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Candidates with experience dealing with renewable energy products/ construction machineries will be prioritized
- Direct dealings or connections with contractors, building owners, property developers will have added advantage
- Fluency in multiple languages will receive preferential consideration
