Buyer - Urgent Role

Responsibilities & Authorities

1. Review MRP requirement.
2. Scheduling purchases and deliveries.
3. Route PR to suppliers.
4. Corresponding with suppliers.
5. Feedback problematic parts to project leader/BU.
6. Propose alternate solutions to resolve the problematic parts to project leader/BU.
7. Review any opportunity of volume break cost saving (upon issue order).
8. Issuing purchase orders.
9. Update latest delivery commitment into SAP.
10. Review & feedback critical part status and expediting delivery.
11. Expediting IQA buy-off.
12. Review and clear IQA rejected.
13. Review and clear IQA rejected/ MRB/ RTV inventory.
14. Follow up RTV return status.
15. Review & explain Excess & Obsolesces inventory together with project lead.
16. Report vendor delivery performance.
17. Review and explain additional freight cost.
18. Review & feedback vendor capacity/ support to project leader, if any issue.
19. Clean up outstanding PO.
• Close unused PO. 
• Align outstanding PO with vendor.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
• Required skill(s): SAP.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Senai.
• Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.

Part I: 
a) Knows – operate computer terminal and basic purchasing & technical knowledge
b) Must –
• Have basic MRP knowledge, understanding of Manufacturing operation.
• Prepare to accept frequent changes from internal and external and response to the changes promptly.
• Always maintain a positive attitude and positive thinking.
• Have good communication skill.
• Have business sense
Part II : Other working conditions required
• Traveling is not a must 
• Overtime is expected in completion of daily outstanding work.
• Must be able to work smart and be independent in any environmental conditions.
Freedom to make decisions 
• Freedom to make decisions within the policies but must keep the superior informed. 
• Any other major decisions must confront the superior for approval & direction before further 
actions.

Internally : All departments in GES
Externally : Customers, Suppliers

100% of work. Because of Buyer representing the company interacting with external parties, highest 
standard of integrity is expected and strong communication /Interpersonal skill is required
