Job Description

At Qra, we carry a broad range of products to make eating well and living well accessible for all our customers. As part of our vision to be the leading grocery store in our neighbourhoods, you will be responsible to develop and execute buying strategies for a product category.

As a Category Executive, you will have to aid in building relationships with key department leads and maintain long term vendor relationship to ensure smooth and successful implementations of strategies.

Being a start-up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities.

Responsibilities:

The main objective of the role is to:

• Identify and source products that meet the needs of our customers.
• Implement and execute category strategies to drive sales, profitability, improve product mix and quality to enhance overall customer experience.
• Collaborate with suppliers on products, pricing, promotions and availability.
• Assisting and managing multiple categories, including purchasing, ranging, and category management.
• Work closely with operations team to ensure there is a strong understanding of
  category plans.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts.
• Collaborate in team projects and activities across the organization.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree and minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience in related retail environment desirable but not required.
• Experience in retail, business development, marketing, sales or related field
• Strong Communication and Negotiating Skills
• High level of interpersonal, relationship management and team-working experience.
• Able to start on a short notice be an added advantage

• A self-starter, proactive and hands-on approach. End-to-end. Get things done right, and fast!
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills and an ability to develop and maintain relationships.
