Chartering Executive /Manager (Malaysia)

Royal Ocean Marine is seeking for our clients a skilled Chartering Executive/Manager specializing in tanker and dry bulk sectors. The successful candidate will take charge of chartering activities including vessel employment, contract negotiations, and fostering client relationships to maximize profitability and operational efficiency. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure optimal vessel utilization and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day chartering operations for tanker .
• Negotiate and finalize charter party agreements aligning with company objectives.
• Analyze market trends and provide strategic recommendations for vessel employment.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, shipowners, and traders.
• Coordinate with operations and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of charter contracts.
• Develop and expand client portfolio to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Prepare reports on chartering activities and market conditions for senior management.

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business, or relevant field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in chartering within tanker or drybulks.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Good understanding of charter party contracts and shipping market dynamics.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping-related software.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
