Civil Manager

Company Background

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Civil Manager to lead and oversee civil engineering and construction projects, with a strong emphasis on high-rise building developments

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and manage all civil works activities for assigned projects.
• Oversee construction progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
• Supervise site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and quality standards
• Provide leadership in high-rise construction projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and adherence to project milestones
• Enforce compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective measures
• Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and control resource allocation
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and government authorities, preparing reports and progress updates
• Mitigate project risks and ensure smooth handover of completed works

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Masters degree preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in civil engineering and construction management
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in high-rise construction projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use)
• Strong technical knowledge of structural works, high-rise building systems, and local building codes
• Possession of related construction certifications (e.g., CIDB Malaysia, PMP, PE, Safety & Health certifications, or equivalent) is required
• Demonstrated ability to lead large project teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications
