Penerangan Pekerjaan - Clinic Receptionist, Consultant Clinic-1

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The postholder is responsible for managing the outpatient clinic for resident/sessional consultant, and coordinating his clinical, academic, and professional activities. The post holder reports to Outpatient Department In Charge.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To manage Resident/Sessional Consultant outpatient clinic including appropriate scheduling of outpatient appointments and surgery times, and ensuring the smooth running of the clinic to the satisfaction of all patients
  • To facilitate patient enquiries relating to their outpatient appointments, and hospital admissions, including date of admission, admission procedures, insurance, billing, discharge, and follow-up care by ensure all the form required is complete
  • To assist to send patients to other department such as Radiology, Laboratory, etc for clinical investigations or tests.
  • To schedule patient appointment via system (ENCOREMED) and to fully utilize the appointment system to streamline scheduling, enhance patient engagement, and ensure a smooth and coordinated care experience throughout the patient's journey
  • To update on daily census and manage database filing systems. Dispatched patient medical records to HIMS after clinic session is closed.
  • Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by superior or upper management, supporting clinic operations and ensuring high-quality patient care as needed
  • Ensure the clinic environment is clean, tidy, and well-organized always, with all necessary equipment and supplies prepared and ready for daily operations
  • Make sure all patient information is kept private and safe by following PDPA rules and clinic guidelines when handling records.
  • Prepare and review appointment lists two days in advance, confirm with patients by phone, and submit GL requests in advance at the GL counter. And update the consultant on the final schedule
  • Ensure conformance to all policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 OHSAS   18001:2007, HALAL, HACCP and Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards.
  • Comply with the Baby Friendly Hospital requirements and adhere to 10 steps of successful   breastfeeding.
  • Adopt and practices the Patient Safety Goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008)

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education:

  • SPM

Knowledge and Experiences:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in related field.

   Skills & Competencies

  • Basic Course in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel or its equivalent

Special skills are required:

  • Proficient in writing and conversing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
