Clinical Application Specialist (Wound Care) - Urgent Position

JOB PURPOSE
The Clinical Application Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring the provision of on-site advice and assistance on the usage of wound care dressings and products during surgical operations. The job holder is also accountable for the conduct of training for the surgical, nursing personnel and sales team to ensure that they are familiar with and confident in using the products.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Case Management
- Support clinical cases according to product usage instructions while adhering to infection control and observing patient safety as first priority.
- Execute and coordinate the scheduling and management of clinical cases ensuring that all cases are attended to by the Clinical Application Specialist competently and promptly.
- Ensure that hospital personnel receive correct advice and adequate, professional support in the hospitals and clinics and provide on-call assistance when necessary.

2. Training
- Train new clinical staff, ensuring that they are familiar with the features and applications of the products and able to respond to the typical questions posed and difficulties faced by the surgical personnel
- Accompany clinical staff to attend cases in the operating theatres, providing on-site guidance.
- Prepare and conduct in-service training for the surgical and nursing personnel ensuring that they are familiar with and confident in using the products.
- Work with local sales to develop training materials and competency assessment documents.
- Review and ensure that the clinical application contents, training materials are accurate, up-to-date and systematically presented.

3. Business Development and Others
-Support local sales and demonstrate the use of the products to lend credibility to the value of the products and technical expertise of the Company to help secure the sales.
-Manage thoughtfully organizing training, events and work activities 
-Perform other nurse related assignments and projects as assigned by the management.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

At least 2-5 years clinical experience in nursing

At least 2 years’ experience in wound care, preferably in one of the following units:

               -Burn Unit

               -Wound care Unit

               -Surgical Unit

               -Emergency Intervention Unit

               -Plastic Unit

Proficient in English

Good presentation skills

Basic computer literacy

Required to travel – nationwide coverage
