In this role, you will be critical in designing secure cloud architectures that align with cybersecurity policies and standards. Your expertise in cloud security solutions will have a significant impact on the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements like FedRAMP. You will collaborate with various teams to innovate and optimize cloud solutions across several environments, maintaining a high standard of security and efficiency. This position is well-suited for candidates with extensive experience in federal government cloud services.
Accountabilities
- Serve as the cloud architecture subject matter expert supporting various activities.
- Design, evaluate, and validate secure cloud architectures for SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments.
- Ensure cloud architecture aligns with cybersecurity policies, standards, and requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on cloud networking, segmentation, encryption, and access control.
- Support integration of cloud environments into enterprise architectures.
- Define cloud system architectures and shared responsibility models.
- Identify and document cloud assets, services, and dependencies within authorization boundaries.
- Assist in identifying information types processed in cloud environments.
- Support system security categorization with architectural input.
- Support cloud asset discovery using automated tools.
Requirements
- Active Public Trust clearance.
- M.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in cloud and cloud security solutions within federal government systems.
- Expertise in networking, specifically AWS configurations.
- Proven ability to implement continuous monitoring solutions for cloud systems.
- Experience in designing AI-powered compliance automation tools.
- Strong experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk.
- Proficient in AWS security services and compliance metrics interpretation.
- In-depth understanding of data encryption practices.
- Ability to identify potential vulnerabilities in cloud configurations.
