Key Responsibilites- 24x7 Day or Night shift rotation (14 – 16 days)
- Assists the Operations team to optimize the capability of the Singtel Managed Cloud platforms to deliver a cost effective and sustained level of availability to meet Corporate customers’ requirements. Incorporate continuous improvement process in operations through constant monitoring, reporting, evaluating and improving the operation metrics.
- To assist the Operations Manager to ensure smooth operations based on established tasks and processes that conformed with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- To assist the Operations Manager in adhering to Singtel Managed Cloud platforms operational standards, processes and guidelines that are in line with industry standards and best practices.
- To assist the Operations Manager in improving Singtel Managed Cloud platforms to align with the industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Public Cloud, Private Cloud
- Basic knowledge on Public Cloud such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure or any commercial Cloud platform.
- Basic knowledge on Private Cloud in terms of vCloud Director, vROPS, VMware, Edge Gateway. - Server/Virtualization
- Virtualization Technology (VMware)
- Operating Systems (Windows, RedHat, CentOS, SUSE)
- Apps Server, Databases, Web Technology
- System Management skills (e.g. AD, DNS and etc)
- Commodity Server Hardware (e.g Rackmounts, Blade and Enclosures)
- Converged Hyper Appliance (e.g. Nutanix, VCE, EMC VXrail and etc)
- Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) - Storage and Backup (Optional)
- Storage Arrays based on HP, 3PAR, EMC, NetApp, Dell
- San Switches (Brocade, MDS)
- Backup technologies from EMC Avamar, Symantec NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam - Network and Security (Optional)
- Basic network understanding
- Network Management based on technology from Cisco, Juniper, Aristas, HP, F5
- Information Security Management (Firewall, IDS/IPS, IPAM and etc) - Operational Support (Optional)
- ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, FreshService
- Monitoring tools such as VMware vRealize Operations Manager, Solarwinds, WhatsUp Gold, Paessler PRTG and etc. - Non-Technical/Soft Skills Required
- Operations Management (e.g. change management, problem management, incident management and etc)
- Customer Engagement (customer focused and can handle customer effectively. Also very resourceful and possess a strong initiative)
- Vendor management
- Good team player with good communication skills
- Good attitude, willing to learn
- Good vision of situations and ability to size them up appropriately
