CNC Machinist - Exciting Challenge

Requirements 

1. Proven experience as CNC setter & operator (Both mill and lathe)

2. Skill in tool selection, material knowledge & usage of precision measuring equipment.

3. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.

 4. Computer savvy with at least a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM. 

5. Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.

6. Good communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such milling and turning. 

2. Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. 

3. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. 

4. Prepare and load raw material and parts onto the machines. 

5. Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications. 

6. Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.

 7. Supervise machinery operation in use by other staff to ensure correct and proper parts are manufactured 

8. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.  Creation of FAI and ongoing quality control documents are required and to be used.

 9. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
