Commodity Manager (Cost Control / Procurement, Up RM15K, Batu Kawan) - Urgent

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Commodity Manager in a manufacturing industry to drive sourcing strategy and implement cost control reduction program to maximize purchasing value.

What will you do

• Drive sourcing strategy and execution that delivers a competitive advantage including implementation of the strategic supplier initiatives including supplier selection, development and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
• Identify and evaluate Sourcing opportunities.
• Implement cost reduction program with suppliers, monitoring product and service quality and on-time delivery performance by key suppliers.
• Developing suitable product plan proposal and price assortment strategy to delivers profit to the company.
• Develop negotiation and supplier with optimal quality, cost and delivery including monitor and analyzing supplier performance for benchmarking and expenses optimization.
• Ensures sourcing strategies achieve cost competitiveness, cost reduction program and maximizing purchasing value.
• Identify and develop strategic supply sources for the all commodities.
• Manage and provide oversight and direction to the purchasing team to ensure the team are preforming effectively
• Strategic planning for Department to achieve its annual objectives.
• Analyze supplier performance and evaluate in terms of delivery, quality and responsiveness.
• Review and update Approved Supplier List.
• Maintain purchase order and ensure on-time and accurate submission of orders to suppliers.
• Work with Supplier, Engineering and other department to drive Lean initiates including just in time sourcing.
• Manage the material function to meet the KPI.
• To monitor on-time receiving of inventory.

What do we want

• At least a Diploma, Professional Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of working experience in the related field.
• Manager level with experience in contract manufacturing.
