What will you do?

A Construction Manager (Mechanical and Electrical) is responsible for overseeing and managing all mechanical and electrical aspects of a construction project. This includes planning, coordinating, and supervising the installation, evaluating the progress of works, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems. They ensure that all M&E work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. They also collaborate with other project stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth coordination and successful project delivery.

• Reports directly to the Project Manager and Director of Project Management, Malaysia;
• Work closely with the Project Manager to build the Project Management business in Malaysia, including identifying opportunities & risks, markets & sectors and business & operational needs, as well as key hires and/or partnerships/ mergers;
• Together with Project Manager, drive and manage project(s) assigned, ensuring successful implementation, delivery and client satisfaction, as well as their profit & loss and business aspects associated to the services provided
• Oversee the development and adherence to PM best practice and procedures, as well as applicable Aurecon technical standards and processes,
• Ensure compliance with Aurecon governance, financial and ethical requirements and standards;
• Responsible for performance management of Project PM staff, employee engagement and recruitment.
• Be a leader for safety, diversity and inclusion in the organization;

Job Requirements :

• Have at least 8 years of related experience with significant involvement in construction projects
• Have a masters / bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Have the fluency in English. Knowledge of one or more Asian languages will be an advantage.
• Strong written, verbal communication and data presentation skills.
• Industry accreditations in construction management will be advantageous.
