Continuous Improvement Technician

Purpose Statement: The Continuous Improvement Technician I, reporting to the CI Manager (or assigned by the CI MGR) is responsible to support in the factory all continuous improvement projects such as: Create layouts, physical movements, take standard times, Capacity Analysis, process balance chart, management all current movements, participation in all continuous improvement initiatives and kaizen events - this is a practical Gemba role.\n\nKey Job Accountabilities:\n\n * PROCESS OPTIMIZATION: Assist the CI Engineers in general projects and experiments that reduce costs and improve the manufacturing flow of products\n * Able to work cooperatively in a team \u0026 cross functional team(s) as needed \nAble to maintain a level temperament in a stressful environment \nOpenly and proactively shares information, knowledge \u0026 experience with co-workers \nWilling to take on additional assignments\n * PROCESS OPTIMIZATION: Perform time studies, cap model as needed to demonstrate the expected output for an operation, for cost recovery systems, and for factory layouts. All t support Value Stream Transformation and Transformation Cost Improvement work.\n * Support site\u0027s Operational Excellence/Lean Steering Team to achieve targeted financial impact.\n * Consistently completes assignments or work requirements on time without compromising on quality \nUses time effectively to manage workload/tasks \nIndividual throughput goals are met\n * Understands and follows Plexus quality policy guidelines, customer specifications and adheres to regulatory compliance \n\\- Monitors own work to ensure quality standard is met \n\\- Looks for opportunities to improve quality and eliminate waste at work \n\\- Delivers work in way a that eliminates scrap or rework \n\\- Keeps supervisors informed and escalates issues when needed\n\n\n\nEducation/Experience Qualifications:\n\n * Technical Diploma or equivalent. Studying for Lean Six Green Belt Certification from BQF (British Quality Foundation) or ASQ (American Society for Quality) OR equivalent from Motorola or GE.
