SCOPE OF SERVICES:
• Perform thorough review of value levers to develop and implement competitive category and / or sourcing strategies.
• Identify and deal with the potential risks associated with category and / or sourcing strategies.
• Execute and manage sourcing activities i.e. from preparation of contract strategy up to tender award.
• Draft, review, and issue tender documents, including contract conditions, specifications, and evaluation criteria.
• Evaluate bids, negotiate terms with suppliers, and finalize contracts.
• Apply procurement governance and procedures that regulate the sourcing process.
• Conducts effective discussions with key internal stakeholders to develop the business case and agree on the way forward.
• Actively support and / or participate in the process of procurement and negotiation with Vendors and stakeholders.
• Shares information and insights, such as market surveys, supply base details, procurement initiatives & challenges and market intelligence, with other procurement units and external parties.
• Involved in Commercial Excellence, Operational Excellence, High Performance Culture and other KFAs.
THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):
• Commercial mindset, be able to translate the procurement value levers and analyze factors driving demand and costs.
• Demonstrates the ability to review key value drivers within the supply chain, encompassing factors such as demand, specifications, prices, vendor resources, and market trends.
• A thorough understanding of the business landscape, including awareness of the supply base and alternatives, as well as proficiency in supply chain dynamics and risk management.
• Proficient in evaluating sourcing alternatives and dealing with key risks with the sourcing strategies.
• Capable of fostering collaboration across business units and effectively overseeing stakeholders, including senior management.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Management or related fields, with minimum 6 - 8 years of relevant experience.
• Analytical and quantitative background is preferred.
