Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Contract Manager to join our team at the Dominant Energy's head office in Melaka. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all procurement and contract management activities with suppliers and clients, ensuring alignment with Dominant Energy’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
> Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and align with company objectives.
> Manage and oversee the procurement process, including the selection of suppliers and evaluation of supplier performance.
> Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and trends in the oil and gas industry.
> Implement best practices in procurement to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
Contract Management:
> Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that mitigate risk and deliver value to the company.
> Monitor contract compliance and performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
> Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment of procurement activities with project requirements and timelines.
> Prepare and present regular reports on contract status and performance metrics to senior management.
Supplier Management:
> Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the continuous supply of essential materials and services.
> Evaluate supplier performance and develop improvement plans to enhance service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
> Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
Customer Relation Management:
> Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement and contract activities support project goals.
> Work closely with clients to ensure their requirements are met and address any concerns or issues promptly.
> Develop and maintain effective communication channels with clients and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
> Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
> A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and contract management within the oil and gas industry.
> Proven track record of successful procurement and contract management, with a focus on cost savings and risk mitigation.
> Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
> In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, and industry best practices.
> Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
> Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
> Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
