Corporate And Compliance Manager (ICSA qualified preferred) - Urgent

Job  scope:

• Develop, implement and manage Group’s corporate, governance and compliance framework, manual and procedures that align with the Group’s strategic direction and facilitate strong and adequate governance and regulatory compliance; 
• Develop, implement and manage Group-wide governance and compliance training and communications strategy for internal and external stakeholders to ensure Group-wide awareness and a strong compliance culture is practiced in the Group.  
• Serves as the main contact person for the Group’s governance and compliance matters, internally as well as externally. Able to independently manage and attend Board, Shareholders or Trustee Meetings, if required.
• Identify changes/updates in legislation and/or regulatory environment and effectively manage the updates/changes. Communicate the impact to the management and coordinate with business units in conducting and managing gap analysis to ensure relevant gaps are identified and addressed.

Requirements:

• Preferable candidate possess a Bachelor of Laws (or its equivalent) with ICSA qualification or any corporate secretarial license.
• At least 5 years of working experience in governance and compliance and(or) corporate secretarial.
• Demonstrates sound knowledge in the principles of local laws for Corporate, Governance and Compliance.
• Familiar with company laws, regulations and procedures, disclosure requirements of local regulators,  Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance and best practices in corporate governance and practices. 
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, written and spoken.
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
