Cybersecurity Specialist - Collaborative Environment

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to be part of a Security Operations Centre (SOC) team, managing projects and performing new security implementations for risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.

• Perform risk assessments and provide solutions and advice;
• Perform timely security tests to identify and remediate any gaps;
• Provide advice and recommendations for security implementations, and be responsible for deployment;
• Ensure compliance to security standards;
• Create reports and carry out presentations to stakeholders, to communicate risks and work progress.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Information Technology or any relevant field;
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in cyber security, preferably within a SOC environment;
• Certification in cybersecurity would be an advantage;
• Hands-on experience in SIEM tools;
• Strong understanding of security risks;
• Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems;
• Understanding of cloud, network and systems infrastructure;
• Proficiency in Shell or other scripts;
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Ability to work independently;
• Good communication skills.
