Demi Chef - Continuous Learning Opportunities

Salary range : RM1800 - RM2500

Minimum1-2 years of relevant culinary experience.

To fulfill all tasks below relating to operation (but not limited to):

• Work closely with Chef de Partie
• Able to run a section of the kitchen on his/her own while ensuring that it runs according to performance standards
• Maintains a high level of food quality standards, whilst following Menus, Recipe formats, and directions as outlined
• Following menus, recipe formats, and directions
• Preparing and cooking food
• Assisting in all activities in the kitchen
• Enforce health and safety standards in the kitchen
• Oversees preparation, cooking and presentation for plates
• Provide direction to the kitchen helpers, including commis, cooks, kitchen attendants and stewards
• Ensure that all dishes from that section are prepared consistently and accordingly to standard recipes
• To ensure minimum kitchen wastage
• To ensure knowledge of the product is maintained and communicated to all relevant personnel
• To be responsible for completing mis en place
• To learn and record skills and recipes from other members of the department
• To monitor stock movement and be responsible for ordering on your section
• To be flexible and willing to help the restaurant kitchen at busy times if required

Salary: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
