About the role

We are looking for an individual to manage a team of intermediate or experienced outside sales professionals, leads outside sales activities and ensures operational plans and objectives are met. You will be responsible for making significant improvements to processes and standards in order to enhance performance of outside sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Deputy General Manager, Commercial Applied, you’ll be responsible for:

• Ensure the establishment and development of professional relationships with account management teams to understand and meet the customers needs within the bounds of contracted scope.
• Responsible for coordinating the business development activities for account management teams to support the business strategy defined by leadership.
• Analyzes and reviews bid opportunities, prepares bid responses, participates in negotiating with potential customers and maintains customer relationships to win projects.
• Proactively identifies potential opportunities with account management teams, discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services in order to create new client base and increase sales.
• Creates new business proposals for account management teams, identifies value, and addresses resistance in order to develop business.
• Supports the management team representative on account management teams. Maintain personal long-term customer relationships to influence existing and future opportunities.

Requirements:

As a minimum you must have:

• Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical
• Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.
• Has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
• Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience
