Dir - Sourcing

Purpose Statement:  Develop an effective sourcing organization for the commodity families assigned within the Electronic Manufacturing Services Industry for the markets that we serve, focusing on lowest total cost of ownership and best in class flexibility to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.  Defines the group-wide sourcing strategy for commodity families assigned and steers its implementation.   Ensures the development and deployment of related processes and policies throughout the corporation.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Monitor and sets the targets for the quarterly cost reduction strategy and activities together with the VP of Global sourcing.
• Develop and execute sourcing and supply chain strategies that maximize working capital and ROIC.
• Will be a part of the global sourcing management team and will develop and drive the future strategies for the company within global sourcing in cooperation with its peers in the other regions.
• Develop tools and processes to measure and manage the supplier base.
• Proactively monitor marketplace conditions and manage data related to product costing and commodity index.
• Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Possess job-related technical experiences and competency is an added advantage

Physical Requirements:  

• Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.

Travel Requirements:  

• Less than 40%
