As the Director, Business Development & Marketing, you will be responsible for generating top line revenue tomeet and exceed budget expectations for this beautiful resort

Job Responsibilities:

• Position resort in the luxury sector
• Complete roadmap activities
• Achieve monthly top line revenue goals and profitability for the resort
• Participating in sales blitzes and utilizing available business tools to prospect for new business
• Effectively use all systems to their maximum capacity including information input, reporting, understandinghow all systems work together and extracting pertinent data
• Evaluate potential business opportunities for the resort and presents findings as necessary to the GM
• Fully understands Food & Beverage impact on the hotels overall performance and manages the mix ofbusiness accordingly
• Lead by example and trains sales team members to saturate account for maximum results
• Participates with the budgeting process for top line revenue, group with Food &
• Beverage mix as well assales expenses
• Maintains awareness of the sales practices of the resorts competitors and is a product expert when sellingagainst them
• Ensure adherence to all sales administrative processes that are in place including preparation andsubmission of reports or internal communications and meet deadlines
• Build strong relationship and loyalty with top producing clients and maintain professional integrity
• Effectively recruit, train and mentor sales team members and foster strong team dynamics
• Other duties as assigned
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of sales management experience in business development and marketing within theluxury hospitality industry, with 5 years in a leadership role
• Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills, inclusive of the ability to listen effectively and to speakclearly
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high level ofpatience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information to resolve conflicts
• Ability to exercise considerable managerial skills, as the position may involve frequent decisions, meetingof deadlines, negotiations of contracts of vendors, analytical ability and planning, organization developmentand coordination of projects
• Must be a leader, a driver and bottom line oriented
• Local and foreign market experience a plus
• Be well-organized, have attention to detail and have strong client follow-up. Be competitive, self-motivatedand a self-starter

Remuneration:

RM 13,000 to RM 16,000
