Director, Human Resources (Malaysia)

Our client is a leading organisation in the luxury hospitality industry and are renowned for their exceptional standards and services. There is now an opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join the team as the Director, Human Resources to drive the people strategy in alignment with business needs.

Reporting to the Regional VP of Human Resources, this role provides human resource leadership, guidance, and expertise for all business units in Malaysia, taking charge of leading the HR strategy to enhance business optimization.

Key responsibilities include influencing stakeholders and advancing the business agenda to improve both operational and strategic outcomes in leadership development, union relations, employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, and engagement.

Additionally, it involves overseeing the development and implementation of human resources policies and processes, covering talent acquisition, management, retention, learning and development, legal compliance, compensation and benefits, employee relations, union relations, and employee communications.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified with at least 12 years of experience in Human Resources, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian labour and employment laws, with experience dealing with unions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
