Engineer, Electrical (Putrajaya)

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure works are carried out according to contract requirements, quality standards, and cost controls.


• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to electrical safety regulations.


• Support the daily operations of facility electrical systems, ensuring reliable performance and optimal energy usage.


• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective maintenance for electrical equipment and systems.


• Monitor electrical equipment performance, identify faults, and escalate critical issues to the Facility Manager with appropriate technical reports.


• Respond to facility electrical issues and support emergency breakdown situations when required.


• Prepare and submit operational and technical reports, including maintenance and PPM summaries.


• Assist in coordinating internal meetings, preparing reports, and supporting operational documentation.


• Support audits and ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures.


• Assist in procurement processes including purchase requisitions, and verify utility consumption records where required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.


• Minimum 2 years of working experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or electrical operations.


• Good knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance practices, and building services operations.


• Familiar with preventive maintenance planning and troubleshooting of electrical systems.


• Knowledge of energy management practices and green building initiatives such as Green Building Index (GBI) is an advantage.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


• Experience using maintenance management systems or ERP systems such as Oracle is an added advantage.


• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and coordination skills.


• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with contractors and internal teams.


• Able to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced operational environment.

Remark: The contract is for 2-year and is renewable subject to management approval.
