Engineer - Mechanical - Urgent Hiring

Role:

Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the Mechanical maintenance activities at the Power Station, to ensure all the plant mechanical equipment and machinery runs smoothly and reliably.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for day to day maintenance on the mechanical aspects within Gas Turbine, Package Boiler, Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Raw Water Treatment Plant, Condensate Polishing Plant and the balance of plant as well as equipment under the care of Operation and Maintenance Department.
2. Troubleshoot overall plant problem and monitor execution of mechanical maintenance activities.
3. Schedule and plan the mechanical maintenance manpower to execute the maintenance activities within prudent cost and duration.
4. Engage external contractors in attending major works and ensure its execution, if necessary.
5. Effectively control and monitor the mechanical maintenance budget and optimize spare part inventory.
6. Prepare mechanical monthly report and perform incident analysis. 
7. Assist Deputy Head of Mechanical Maintenance to prepare and review mechanical maintenance activities standard procedures.
8. Monitor the progress of all mechanical work, improve the work quality and procedure of mechanical technicians. 
9. Employ enhancement project in mechanical maintenance department. 
10. Improve plant reliability and operability by reducing force outage.
11. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize corrective maintenance by applying prudent engineering practice.
12. Conduct in-house training and provide engineering guidance for mechanical technicians.
13. Ensure and put in service the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)/Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Plant Maintenance (PM) module in accurately recording mechanical maintenance activities.
14. Ensure all mechanical maintenance activities carried out are in compliance with all company and legislative Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements.
15. Comply with all applicable SHEQ legal requirements and our stakeholders’ specifications by establishing policies, programmes and practices in order to conduct operations in a healthy, safe and environmentally sound manner with safety first, quality foremost & pursuing excellence.
16. To perform other additional tasks that are relevant and necessary to accomplish the company overall objectives, which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

1.Minimum education qualification required:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.

2. Minimum mandatory competency (license) required:

• Authorised Entrant & Standby Person for Confined Space (AESP)

3. Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.

4. Some knowledge of rotating and associated equipment.

5. Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English, including creating and delivering presentations.

6. Computer skills: Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project.
