Penerangan Pekerjaan - Engineering Director (Report to CEO)

  1. Oversee, plan, direct, and coordinate activities in the Engineering Business Unit, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the company.
  2. Oversees the preparation and final approval of project plans to ensure projects are completed within budget and in an economical manner.
  3. Conducts or acquires cost analysis for development projects; establishes and administers the department’s budget.
  4. Establishes and implements the strategic direction of the company’s engineering & development initiatives.
  5. Ensures that departmental decisions such as staffing, development, organization, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
  6. Establishes, communicates, and implements engineering and development policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations.
  7. Collaborates with the company’s executive leadership to develop and meet organizational goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems.
  8. Identifies, recommends, and implements new technologies and systems to improve organizational processes and decision-making.
  9. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and development related to the organizations industry.
  10. Negotiates cost-effective contracts for the organization; coordinates and implements contractors work, and resolves any disputes over labor, scheduling, or payments.
  11. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  12. Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
  13. To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

Requirements:

  1. At least Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics / Software / Business Administration or 15 years equivalent experience in related field from automation industry in Medical/Solar/Semicon/Electrical Vehicle.
  2. At least 15 years & above of professional experience in mechanical engineering, automation, soft-skill management, project management, product design & development.
  3. Fostering cooperation among individuals and departments in the areas of sharing resources and information and working together to accomplish group goals.
  4. Exhibiting effective listening skills and superb communication skills. Actively seek feedback and receive it in a non-defensive manner.
  5. Understanding and meeting the needs of organization’s direction & addressing the concerns of organization stakeholders.
  6. Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve high standards and accomplish set outcomes.
  7. Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.
