Engineering Technical Writer - Room for Advancement

Job Responsibility

• Determine, understand and recommend the needs of types of technical documentation to meet Good Manufacture Practice (GMP) compliant qualification. Such as but not limited to:
  • Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Specifications
  • Protocols
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Work Instructions (WIs)
  • Test Methods
  • Validation Documentation
• Study “products” and talk/work with “products” designer and developers
• Write or revise supporting content for the “products”
• Edit material prepared by other writers or staff
• Incorporate animation, graphs, illustrations, or photographs to increase user's understanding of the material
• Select appropriate medium, such as manuals or videos for message or audience
• Standardize and managing consistency of technical content across platforms and media
• Collect feedback from audience to update and improve content
• Understanding and providing evidence of regulatory compliance such as FDA, EMA, etc.
• Liasing with end user/regulators
• Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

Job Requirement 

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Have knowledge of a technical field, such as engineering or industrial automation, GMP & GDP a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Have knowledge in professional writing, literature, GMP & GDP a plus.
• Candidate with technical writing for pharma, biotech and med devices is additional plus point.
• Candidate must show ability to write user-friendly or excellent written skills.
• Candidate must show ability to understand and accurately translate the technical information to documents for targeted audience.
• Candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language, grammer, punctuation, and spelling.
• Candidate must agreed to work at Bayan Lepas, Penang.
