Engineering Technician

As an Engineering Technician at Eastern & Oriental Express, A Belmond Train, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings of an organization. This level of attention and you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality, efficiency, and safety of these systems. Primary Responsibilities include,

• Work with the Engineering team, as well as the day-to-day duties of the depot operation and all other maintenance related to the train  

• Task carried out accordingly to the yearly maintenance plan  

• Ensure that day to day and periodic maintenance inspections of electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration and esthetical and all other necessary maintenance systems are undertaken in accordance with the maintenance plan  

• Ensure that maintenance activities conform with required standards  

• Develop and refine maintenance standards and practices  

• Ensure daily assign task to technicians are complete according to the schedule and the required standards  

• Ensure all Carriages and depot yearly HSSE safety checked task are up to date.  

• Ensure all HSSE report and document are upload into engineering google drive  

• Attend HSSE training provided by belmond  

• Maintain Depot structures and equipment at the highest standards of hygiene, safety and security.

• Above 1-2 years relevant experience within a similar role. 

• Proven leadership ability in handling and coordinating different teams. 

• Previous experience in a similar role – advantageous. 

• Experience within the luxury hospitality industry – advantageous. 

• Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment. 

• Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative.

Experience in the hospitality industry is a bonus, but not a necessity. You could be from an independent restaurant or bar, have worked in luxury retail or private villas, or be a tour guide.
