Executive, Data Analyst - Rapid Progression

Job Purpose

• Responsible for supporting the analytics platform and report/dashboard development in the organization.
• The role requires the candidate to retrieve data from the ERP system (e.g., JD Edwards, MTECH, WEM), transform it and output it as a usable report for the business users.
• Conduct analysis to improve the overall data management and reporting in the organisation's.

Principle Accountabilities

1. A generalist who can fit into many roles and teams to help others make data-driven decisions.
2. Data Analyst delivers value by taking data, answering questions, and communicating the results to help make business decisions.
3. Build and optimize the systems that allow data scientist and analysts to perform their work. Ensures data is properly received, transformed, stored, and made accessible to other users.
4. Leans heavier in software development skillset.
5. Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
6. Managing users and user roles.
7. Provide quality assurance of imported data.
8. Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
9. Helping develop reports and analysis.
10. Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
11. Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
12. Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
13. Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
14. Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferable Microsoft Technology Stacks (Power BI, Database Server, SSIS), MySQL Database, R/Python Programming, Cognos.
• Data Management Skill. Metadata Design.
• Data ETL Skill and Backend system integration.
• Statistical Toolsets. E.g., MATLAB, Gorubi, RapidMiner.
