What you will be doing:
- Reporting to Senior Client Lead.
- Demonstrate understanding of key client information, including general business strategy, Business, and Global/ industry trends, and issues that impact products/services, key opinion leaders, customers, and competitors.
- Assist multiple projects for multiple clients from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, trouble-shooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline.
- Assist client correspondence on daily/ routine matters (i.e. daily updates, activity reports, etc).
- Strong writing skills and comfortable with delivering high-quality internal and external content.
- Demonstrate an understanding of varied writing styles depending on the channel, platform, and audience.
- Good/ Ready to build media relationships with Malaysia media and regional media based in Malaysia and the region. Local business/ corporate media and regional media relationship is a plus.
- Coordinate and work closely with the integrated teams across creative, digital, performance, and data/ analytics and Edelman partners/ vendors.
- Demonstrate a decent understanding of measurement and insights to track client programs and report on key learnings.
- Demonstrate a decent understanding of the financial and Malaysia’s corporate industry
- Manage media lists, handle media relations and provide support on events & new business opportunities.
What is required of you:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced and dynamic client or agency role.
- With relevant education qualification, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Basic knowledge/ experience of financial and the corporate environment in Malaysia.
- Strong writing skills.
- Enjoys working in a team and passionate about pursuing a career in communications.
- Being able to read and converse in Chinese/Mandarin is a plus.
